Creative photography on a budget

How we work with photography depends on the subject, budget and brief. Sometimes commissioned photography is essential to tell just the right story. Often with charity clients, we work with their own images of volunteers in action - the heart of their work - and increasingly we help our clients source images from online libraries that meet their needs and match their budgets.

01Martlets Hospice. This fundraising event material set out to convey a sponsored walk as a sporting challenge. By combining aspirational library images of healthy hikers with a stylised background illustration, the final design had impact and a sense of adventure.

02Centre for Social and Economic Inclusion. Blending and manipulating static images can create original creative set pieces. We used a carefully chosen selection of royalty-free stock photos to create this montage for Inclusion's Welfare to Work conference material.
